• With A-2-3-4-5 being the best winning hand, getting cards that fall within the said rank in the starting hands can be a great way to proceed comfortably

 • Having 8 in starting hands may not mean too much of luck. Employ strategic thinking to decide if you should proceed. Throw away the cards if they are not worth playing at an earlier point rather than waiting until the sixth street.

• Playing with 7 or 7 or better can help you provided others do not have better lows like wheel or steel wheel. Fold if you see there are some better qualifiers.

• Low pairs win high pair; 5-4-3-2-2 happens to wins over 5-5-4-3-2, before you fold with pairs, make sure that you do not have any such possibilities of winning.

Pairs tend to kill the chances of the hand in Razz poker games, however if there are going to me more people with pairs, the low pair low rank hand is going to win.

Be watchful of the open cards of your opponents. If they may have no numbers that you hold either in the pocket or in your open cards you need to be cautious about raising and re-raising as there are high probabilities for you landing up with a pair.

Never give a damn clue of what you hold, if you think your opponent has noticed the card that you are chasing, confusing him to the core is necessary for the winning. Despite you having a good hand you need to confuse them; else your pot will not grow. With medium hands make maximum people to fold ASAP; however, if you have a big hand do not make it obvious remaining poker faced.

Summing up, in razz poker 2 face up cards are dealt and one face down card is dealt as pocket cards followed by 4th, 5th and 6th face up cards, and finally the 7th street cards.
